Where the numbers come from
The charts in this guide are first-party. They come from PromptScout’s own monitoring: aggregated from 5,436 completed answers across 104 monitor runs and 135 tracked prompts, covering 69,729 source citations from 7,944 distinct domains between May 28 and August 25, 2026.
Every figure is aggregated across all monitored brands. No brand, customer, or individual URL is identified anywhere in this guide.
This is one monitoring panel, not a census of the web. The tracked brands skew toward B2B software and local service categories, the panel is small enough that a single active brand can move a category, and answer engines change behavior between releases. Read the shape of the differences, not the third decimal place.
